At MTE, we combine Swiss precision with German engineering to develop high-performance equipment tailored to today's requirements in the global energy and e-mobility markets. From Meter Testing and Power Quality Analysis to Transformer Monitoring Systems or Test & Calibration Equipment for EV Charging Stations, our solutions are trusted for their accuracy, reliability, and innovation.
MTE provides innovative and tailored test systems designed to meet the evolving demands of the smart energy sector. Its high-precision stationary and portable test equipment supports accurate calibration of all types of electricity meters and reference standards. Through full compliance with all accuracy classes, MTE enables utilities and customers to reduce non technical losses, avoid overbilling and protect reverence.
MTE offers advanced dissolved gas analysis (DGA) systems for transformers, enabling early fault detection and condition-based maintenance. These solutions enhance transformer longevity and contribute to reliable, cost-efficient power transmission.
As electric vehicles gain global momentum, the need for accurate and reliable charging infrastructure is critical. MTE supports this transition with advanced test & calibration equipment for AC and DC EV charging stations, enabling precise energy measurement, reliable system performance and long-term stability across the entire EVSE lifecycle.

MTE is happy to announce its new flagship, the HYDROCAL 1011 genX. The HYDROCAL 1011 genX is a full-range and maintenance free multi-gas online DGA solution combining proven near infrared (NIR) measuring technology with miniaturized gas sample production based on headspace principle (no membrane, negative pressure-proofed).
The new eMOB I-200.1 DC test adapter enables in combination with the PWS 3.3 genX Portable Working Standard a comprehensive on-site test of DC charging stations for electric vehicles. This is prerequisite for precise billing of the energy charged into the accumulator of the electric vehicle considering the voltage drop between the built-in electricity meter and the outlet of the charging station.
MTE Meter Test Equipment AG is pleased to announce the launch of the PWS 3.3 genX.
The PWS 3.3 genX is a combination of a Portable Working Standard of class 0.05 % and an IEC 61000-4-30 Class A compatible Power Quality Analyzer with 4 voltage (U1, U2, U3, UN, UPE) and 4 current channels (direct: I1, I2, I3 and via clamp-on CT: IN / IPE Neutral current / Protection Earth current).
The modular concept of the PWS 3.3 genX allows the extension of the direct current measurement range from 12A up to 120A and the addition of a battery pack keeps the device running in the event of interruptions.
As one of the first MTE reference standards the new PWS 3.3 genX supports the calibration of DC meters or DC energy measurement units up to 1000 VDC / 200 ADC and the calibration of digital meters, non-conventional CTs / PTs and merging units with SV Sampled Values interface (IEC 61850-9-2 LE) in digital substations.
Online Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) has transformed power transformer monitoring since the 1970s. These sensors, vital for assessing transformer health, initially detected select gases. However, advancements culminated in the 2020s with the HYDROCAL series, allowing multiple gas detection by integrating near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy, offering a comprehensive and user-friendly solution for detailed gas analysis and enhanced diagnostics.

While introducing the Smart Grid Interface Module (SGIM), MTE aims for more transparency of energy flows and better network planning and expansion.
Due to renewable energy generation and increasing e-mobility, customers such as utilities are challenged by load fluctuations and increasing peaks in current demand.
The SGIM by be energy SG is an easy-to-install measuring, monitoring and control system for the (smart) grid of tomorrow.
